I earned my PhD in comparative literature from Harvard University in May 2018. Before that, I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in French literature and creative writing from Columbia University. I am interested in poetry, cultural studies, and literary diplomacy. My book manuscript is titled Stalin’s Children: Boris Pasternak, Osip Mandelstam, and the Soviet Cult of Childhood and my most recent research involves the cultural and literary ties between South Asia and the Soviet Union. In addition to Russian, I work in Urdu and French.
